What are threshold drains?
Threshold drains are a unique form of channel drain, specifically designed for application at external door ways.
As a location where water could flow into internal spaces, these zones typically feature a raised threshold to prevent water ingress. Threshold drains eliminate this need, creating a drainage barrier, rather than a physical one.
In cross section, threshold drains look very different to a typical channel drain, featuring a sill section that encases the door frame allowing it to sit level with the parallel grate and the surrounding flooring, inside and out.

Secondarily, our grates further facilitate safety, featuring Heelguard wedgewire grating. The grating features a relief angle on the underside of the bars, optimising drainage, and the narrow opening between the bars prevents toe or heel entrapment.
Aside from reducing the risk of slip by draining water, the heelguard grates are themselves slip rated R9 or R12.
